Carlo Ancelotti expects Joe Cole to sign a new deal at Chelsea and has reiterated the player has an integral role to play in the team.

The attacking midfielder has long stated his desire to remain at the Blues but negotiations over a new deal at Stamford Bridge have yet to reach an agreement.
