West Ham suspend pay for Davenport

Post  Admin on Mon 25 Jan - 5:24

West Ham United defender Calum Davenport has seen his pay suspended, it has been revealed.

The News of the World says Davenport has received a communication from the Hammers' HR department alleging that he may have been in breach of his contract when he was attacked last August. The defender, who has since been charged with assaulting his sister, has taken legal advice and brought in the PFA.

Davenport is on £20,000 a week at Upton Park and has told his legal team to fight the proposals.

Incredibly Davenport is continuing to train with the club on legal advice while his solicitor attempts to resolve the issue

Clearly more going on than meets they eye
